Typhoon Haiyan Charity Kitty String proceeds donated to Japan Red Cross

This post is a little late, but we wanted to update you all on the status of our Charity String project. So far the proceeds of sales of our KittyString (Philippines Charity String) x10 [All Sales goes to Japan Red Cross] have amounted to 25500 yen (about $255 USD) and we made that donation to the Japan Red Cross on March 31 of this year.

Thank you to everyone who donated!

Since then, the Japan Red Cross has ended the charity drive specific to helping victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Despite that, we still have quite a bit of stock of the Charity String left, and people in the Philippines definitely still need our help, so we will now donate the proceeds to Child Fund Japan’s “Philippines Typhoon #30 Haiyan Emergency Reconstruction Support Project.”

Until we run out of stock we will continue to keep donating the proceeds from the Charity String, so it’s not too late to help!

Speaking of Charity projects…

We still have stock of YoYoFactory Legend (Japan Charity Yo-Yo) [All Sales goes to Japan Red Cross]. All proceeds continue to be contributed to the ongoing recovery effort in the northeastern region of Japan hit by the 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. It’s not too late to help here either, so please consider participating.
