FiRROX

A large stainless steel rim and an extreme bumped response area makes the bimetal FiRROX stand out in a crowd!

While makers from around the world establish their own patterns in bimetal yo-yo design, the boys from Germany’s iYoYo have created an energetic new design with their FiRROX. The two features of this yo-yo that really make it stand out are the large bumped response area and the stainless steel rim that makes up about half of the yo-yo’s width! While the body shape is similar to the Hidra, the response area and overall roundness of the body have been refined to make the dense stainless steel as easy to handle as possible.

Although at around 65 grams the FiRROX isn’t a light bimetal yo-yo, the playfeel is undeniably smooth. Both starting and stopping the yo-yo is easy, and manipulating the mounted yo-yo feels controlled and balanced.

The FiRROX plays especially well with a thicker string, so we recommend K-String’s Fat or XL strings.

iYoYo2

Thanks to its narrow bearing, the iYoYo 2 is a great full metal choice even for beginners.

The power of full metal yo-yos isn’t necessarily out of reach for beginners. Metal yo-yos give so much more spin with a light throw, giving you more time to practice your tricks. You can oil the bearing to increase its responsiveness, but it also comes with the parts necessary to upgrade it to a bind response yo-yo, so it evolves with you. Just switch out the axle and thin bearing for the long axle and Center Ring size C bearing, and the slight times will increase exponentially. With a bind-response throw, you will be able to perform an endless array of complicated string tricks.
