Hello All,
I would like to thank you all for your support, without you and your distribution CLYW would not be where it is today. From March 2012 to March 2013 CLYW sold around 4000 yo-yos, our biggest year to date and could not have been possible without your support!!
Regretfully due to poor budgeting (large team, advertising, travel, etc …), the funding of our plastic yoyo project and our low margins on metals we have nothing to show for it financially. This has caused me a lot of stress and sleepless nights, it’s either make some big changes, bring CLYW back to its original hobby fun state or quit. At this point I am not ready to quit. I want to keep things going and try to make CLYW more sustainable, but unfortunately to get out of this mess we are currently in I must switch to direct sales for an indefinite amount of time. This is the only thing I can think of right now other then doing much larger runs or switching manufacturing to China, but both of these options are just not possible right now. I plan to sell the 4 brand new models direct, plus the first run of the coloured Yetis in order to help build up a bit of a safety net and pay off some debt.
I know it isn’t easy right now in this industry and that you count on sales of our yoyos as part of your income as well, but I have no other choice at this point. I am not sure for how long we will be doing this for, but I wanted to bring this to your attention. If you have any creative ideas that may help out, please feel free to share.
I have a run of 150 BvM2’s coming soon and I would like to still offer those up to stores, Just all of the new stuff coming I plan to sell it direct.
