Pulsefire
Pure feeling and uncompromising power.
With the chatter on Social Media, the name of Axis Yoyos has spread throughout the community. Now everyone can feel what they’re all about, with the Pulsefire, their first release. With a stainless steel rim, at first glance the Pulsefire may look like a standard, “pure” step-straight profile, if you look closely you’ll see another step built into the rim itself, minutely adjusting the weight distribution to make the most of the rim material. This barely-noticeable adjustment in design results in a truly impressive change in how the Pulsefire plays. The Quasi multi-step profile is a shot across the bow, heralding the arrival of a new maker that is bringing new ideas to the community.
The Pulsefire is on the heavy side for a bimetal yo-yo, but it still boasts a smoothness and agility that rivals much lighter models, a huge point for the thought that Axis put into their first model. If you’re looking for pure power, the Pulsefire is one of the best choices you can make.

Mixtape
Axis YoYos’ first monometal yo-yo, Mixtape, is anything but mixed!
The Pulsefire was Axis YoYos’ first release, a shot across the bow that got the attention of the yo-yo community worldwide. Unlike the Pulsefire, their second release, the Mixtape is a monometal model, but their attention to detail shines through, and there are times during play where the Mixtape is reminiscent of a bimetal throw. They aimed for dead center of the full metal yo-yo size of recent years, so any modern player should quickly feel comfortable picking one up. The power of the full size body is immediately apparent, and the quality of its balance is interestingly different from the Pulsefire, definitely worth checking out.
To top it all off, Axis keeps the price down so you can afford a whole arsenal without breaking the bank.

Superstar(EYYC)
The flagship model of YoYoFactory gets a bimetal version!
*This is the special edition bimetal Superstar, there’s no difference from the standard edition.
Since the first lot was release in 2008, the Superstar has seen several iterations, being reborn with each new innovation as the design evolved over the years. Finally the Superstar gets stainless steel wings to make the first bimetal version! When bimetal yo-yos first became popular, they expensive and difficult to make perfectly balanced. Now that the production methods have been perfected, YoYoFactory has created a top-class yo-yo if can be proud to call its flagship model, without the top-class price tag.
All of the theories behind the Superstar have been tweaked to suit its new materials. The unique H-profile has been rounded into an almost step-round shape, with a wide, shallow groove added to the profile. Thanks to these changes, YoYoFactory has pulled the maximum power out of the new Superstar. In addition, the side face has evolved from totally flat to a concave face, which both moves the weight from the center to the heavier rim for added power, and makes top-on style horizontal tricks even easier than before. You can rely on the new Superstar to help widen your horizons and improve your craft.

Obsidian
This new offering from Oxygene is designed to give adult players hours of fun playtime.
Oxygene, an Italian brand with a long history of beautifully designed high-end yo-yos, has taken a new concept to heart with the Obsidian: sharing the joy of yo-yoing with adults the world over. The design and production of the Obsidian was closely supervised by “BLACK,” the 2001 World Champion and recent speaker at the world-famous TED conference in San Diego, California.
Nowadays, yo-yos that were used to win contests and cheap full metals are very popular. The concept behind the Obsidian takes a different approach, intended for adults to enjoy at their leisure, and to really appreciate the joy of yo-yoing.
The yo-yo itself is an easily-gripped middle size, not too heavy, but still has a good weight to it when thrown. The Obsidian was designed to get the absolute most out of its weight, and it throws it around very well. When you throw the Obsidian, you can feel that more than a decade of experience and knowledge went into its design.
At its heart, the Obsidian sports Oxygene’s trademark titanium core. With a greater density than aluminum, the titanium core is thinner and lighter a other materials, while still being incredibly strong and durable.
Originally dropped at the 2014 EYYC, the consensus from the players there was that the “Italian Design” of Oxygene is well worth the $200 price tag, and the performance impresses even world champions. The Obsidian joins a long line of top-of-the-line throws from one of the most luxurious makers in the world.
