Time for some maintenance!<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll need tissue, oil or vaseline (<a href=\"https:\/\/yoyostorerewind.com\/en\/looping-oil.html\">REWIND Looping Oil<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yoyostorerewind.com\/en\/yyf-performance-oil-loop-response.html\">YYF Looping Oil<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/yoyostorerewind.com\/en\/something-lp-lube.html\">sOMEThING LP Lube<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/yoyostorerewind.com\/pub\/media\/catalog\/product\/cache\/78c17d90350adf13f9c1a00fdacf24f7\/i\/m\/img_3340.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>0. Take the yo-yo apart<\/h2>\n<p>Make sure not to lose any small parts, and remove the string ahead of time.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yoyorewind.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/P2160068.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>1. If you&#8217;re using spacers, remove one side<\/h2>\n<p>Ignore this step if you don&#8217;t use spacers.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yoyorewind.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/P2160075.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>2. Add oil, just a drop or two<\/h2>\n<p>Smear the oil or vaseline onto the axle itself. It&#8217;s ok to get some oil in the bearing, but the important part to lubricate is the axle itself.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yoyorewind.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/P2160082.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yoyorewind.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/P2160084.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>3. Replace the bearing, and wipe off any excess oil<\/h2>\n<p>You don&#8217;t want oil all over you yo-yo; it&#8217;s bad for the plastic, and can negatively effect the yo-yo&#8217;s response (especially for starburt response yo-yos).<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yoyorewind.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/P2160086.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>4. Reassemble the body, and test it!<\/h2>\n<p>If you use spacers, don&#8217;t forget to set them correctly, or you could damage your yo-yo.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yoyorewind.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/P2160134.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Cleaning your yo-yo<\/h2>\n<p>One of the side effects of using oil with your yo-yo, is that over time you&#8217;ll get a build up of old oil or vaseline in the little cracks here and there. This is bad for your yo-yo for a number of reasons, so let&#8217;s wipe it clean every few times we oil the axle, just to keep things in top shape.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yoyorewind.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/P2160091.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nTo do this, just take the yo-yo apart and wipe the interior with a Q-tip (cotton swab).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yoyorewind.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/P2160092.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nIf there&#8217;s a lot of oil on the axle threading, it may cause the yo-yo to come apart during play. Wipe it down with a tissue.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yoyorewind.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/P2160094.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nIf you&#8217;re using a spacer, it may get sticky and hard to remove.
